Drywall waste disposed of in landfills tends to have chemical and biological reactions which are harmful to the environment. This is where Disposal King’s drywall disposal and recycling service comes in, giving homeowners and contractors a proper sheetrock disposal service instead of a trip to the landfill.

Whether you have a single wall’s worth of drywall or a full renovation’s worth of gypsum board, our drywall waste bin rental gives you a straightforward way to get rid of it responsibly, with certified recycling facilities handling the material once it is picked up.

How Drywall Disposal Bin Rentals Work

When you use Disposal King's drywall disposal and recycling bins, our specialists help you determine the right bin size for your project. Once your bin arrives, start filling it with removed drywall, keeping it separate from other mixed construction materials to protect the recycling process. When you are done, give us a call and we will pick up the bin and take care of everything from there.

Drywall Disposal Bin Sizes and Rates

Disposal King provides drywall waste bin rental in different sizes at a reasonable price. Our bins for rent from 12 to 40 cubic yards are durable and priced starting at $325.00. Check out our bin sizing guide to help you choose the right bin for your project.

What Size Bin Do You Need for Drywall?

Drywall is bulky before it is broken down, but it is also heavy once you start stacking sheets, so sizing depends on both the volume and the amount. A 10 or 12 yard bin usually covers a single room or a smaller renovation project. A 20 yard bin handles a full home renovation where multiple rooms are being redone. For larger commercial jobs or full gut renovations, a 30 or 40 yard bin gives you room to work without needing a second pickup. If you are unsure how much your drywall waste bin rental project will generate, describe the scope when you call and we will help you land on the right size.

They are liars and you cannot trust them. A driver hit my car and left the scene. Then proceeded to lie to ICBC.

Hi there,Unfortunately those bins were moved by the property manager. We didn't put them there. We are currently working with the contractor to get authorized to have them removed as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

I was comparing prices to have a 60 foot asphalt sidewalk disposed of. I estimated the bin size and chose Disposal King - good price no hidden charges - all up front.
The bin was dropped off as agreed upon - 7:00am the next morning. The driver was skilled - set it right where I wanted it, helpful and friendly. I called to have it picked up and they were there before the end of the day.
Staff on the phone were helpful and friendly. I'd recommend calling them.

I’ve been a contractor in Vancouver for 11 years. Disposal King has always given me fast and responsive service at competitive rates. Alisha the dispatcher is on the ball and can always answer my questions. The drivers are careful to protect surfaces when dropping the bins. I’ve never been given a reason to go anywhere else for disposal service!
We've been operating in Vancouver since 2008 and we know the city's waste requirements inside and out. Every bin we deliver is handled in full compliance with Metro Vancouver regulations — and we stand behind that with every job.

FAQ's for Drywall Bin Rentals

What type of bin is recommended for drywall disposal?

A drywall disposal bin or clean drywall bin is recommended for drywall waste. These bins are designed to handle gypsum board efficiently and are ideal for renovations, demolitions, and construction projects where drywall is the main material.

For best results, drywall should be placed in a separate drywall bin, especially if the drywall is clean and recyclable. While drywall can be mixed with renovation waste in a mixed bin, doing so may increase disposal costs and reduce recycling options.

Yes, painted drywall is generally accepted for disposal, but it may not qualify for recycling. Drywall with excessive paint, wallpaper, glue, or coatings may be restricted at some facilities and is usually disposed of as general waste rather than recycled material.

Pricing starts at a fixed rate of $325 for our drywall bins. Since every project’s volume and weight can vary, give us a call and we can put together an accurate quote for your specific job.

A 10-yard bin is suitable for small drywall projects, while 15- or 20-yard bins are commonly used for full-room or whole-house renovations. Larger projects may require a 30-yard bin, depending on the volume of drywall removed.

Yes, drywall bins have weight limits because gypsum is heavy. Wet drywall, joint compound, or tile backing can significantly increase weight. Exceeding the weight limit may result in additional charges.

Yes. Drywall containing asbestos cannot be placed in a standard drywall bin. It must be tested, handled, and disposed of according to hazardous waste regulations using approved methods and facilities. Special permits and licensed contractors may be required.

Yes, new and old drywall can be mixed in the same drywall disposal bin as long as both are free from hazardous materials such as asbestos or excessive contamination. Mixing does not affect disposal as long as the load remains drywall-only.

Drywall bins cannot accept wood, metal, insulation, plastic, carpet, garbage, chemicals, paint cans, asbestos-containing materials, or household waste. Including prohibited items may result in contamination fees or load rejection.

Yes, drywall recycling is available across the Lower Mainland and Okanagan for clean and uncontaminated gypsum. Recycled drywall is often reused in agriculture or manufacturing, making it an eco-friendly disposal option when handled correctly.
